KEVIN HYLTON, Ph.D.

Hello friend, I am Dr. Kevin Hylton, and welcome to the Dissertation School where our goal is to help students write, defend, and earn their doctorate.

I started the dissertation school after several years of supporting and guiding over 100 doctoral candidates. In working with these students, regardless of whether they are at an online or a traditional brick and mortar university, I found that almost all of them had not received any specific guidance or instructions on how to actually write a dissertation. And in many instances their  committee members do not provide specific feedback to allow them to complete their dissertation in an efficient manner. As a result of these experiences, students often become frustrated, isolated, and some end up suffering from imposter syndrome.

To address some of these challenges, I created the Dissertation School so that dissertation candidates would have a place where they could get the support and instructional guidance they need to write, defend and earn their doctorate.

In addition to coaching dissertation students, I'm an adjunct professor at universities in the Washington D.C. metropolitan area where I teach behavioral and social science courses. I also serve as a research scientist, evaluator, technical advisor, and policy advisor to Federal, State, and local governments and non-profit organizations.
